Mlitt Scholarships

The Institute of Legal and Constitutional Research is offering a number of scholarships to students applying for the MLitt in Legal and Constitutional Studies. The ILCR MLitt scholarship competition is open to outstanding Home/EU and International Students who are applying for a place on the MLitt Legal and Constitutional Studies at the University of St Andrews, to commence September 2017. Awards will be made on the basis of academic merit. Each MLitt scholarship is worth a maximum of £5K.

How to apply

The ILCR MLitt Scholarship competition is administered by the School of History. Please go to: www.st-andrews.ac.uk/history/postgrad/taughtpostgrad/postgradmlittawards.html and follow the instructions.

Note that full details on applying for an MLitt scholarship via the School of History will be sent, along with log-in instructions to the new funding application system, once you have been offered a place to study here by the Admissions team.

The deadline for MLitt Award applications is 21st April 2017

Enquiries about the MLitt Legal and Constitutional Studies can be sent to Professor Caroline Humfress (ch226@st-andrews.ac.uk). For more details about postgraduate study at St Andrews see www.st-andrews.ac.uk/study/pg/

Carnegie/Caledonian PhD Scholarships

The prestigious Carnegie PhD Scholarship scheme supports a limited number of graduates, with first class Honours undergraduate degrees from a Scottish university, who wish to pursue three years of postgraduate research leading to a PhD at a university in Scotland. There is no restriction on the subject or field, and the award may be of interest to those considering applying for a PhD within the ILCR.

Full details about the scholarship are available on the Carnegie/Caledonian PhD Scholarships webpage: http://www.st-andrews.ac.uk/study/pg/fees-and-funding/scholarships/carnegie-caledonian/.

Please note that candidates put forward for nomination by Schools should be of outstanding quality.  Overseas applicants are also eligible, and if successful the difference between Home and Overseas fees will be met by the University.
